Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned specialty unit (ER, ICU, Med-Surg, etc.)
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals and document in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and facility protocols
- Provide patient education and discharge planning
- Participate in rapid response and code blue events
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Specialty-specific certifications (e.g., TNCC, PALS)
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Flexibility for 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to start assignment within 48 hours
