The Role
You will provide high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings across Fort Worth. This is a contract position offering the freedom to travel with the security of a stable team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate direct patient care in accordance with state nursing regulations and facility policies.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by licensed physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to address specific health needs.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical documentation and electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Monitor patient conditions for any changes or deterioration and respond promptly to clinical emergencies.
- Adhere to all infection control protocols and safety standards to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
- Completion of a paid training program or minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic travel healthcare environment with varying schedules.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
