Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases in high-volume emergency settings
- Utilize EHR systems to document patient information and track wait times
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely care delivery
- Provide clear communication to patients and families regarding wait times and care plans
- Maintain compliance with TAC 217.1 and emergency department protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Supervise LPNs and medical assistants during peak hours
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years ED or urgent care triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EHR systems
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Spanish bilingual preferred
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
