Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using ESI protocols
- Obtain accurate medical histories and vital signs for all ED arrivals
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient flow
- Document assessments and interventions in Epic EMR with 100% accuracy
- Provide clear communication to patients/families about wait times and care plans
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and ED best practices
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years ED or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficient in triage assessment and ESI scoring
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
