Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop patient care plans
- Utilize EHR systems to document patient histories and vital signs
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment options
- Monitor and manage department flow during high-volume periods
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health records
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
