Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patients using standardized triage protocols to determine urgency of care
- Provide accurate medical advice and guidance to patients via phone, telehealth, and in-person
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with precise documentation of assessments
- Implement emergency response protocols for critical conditions including cardiac arrest and trauma
- Educate patients on symptoms, treatment options, and appropriate care settings
- Monitor patient flow and department resources to optimize operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (AZRN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- TEN certification or equivalent triage training preferred
