Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine medical urgency
- Provide clear, compassionate guidance to patients and families during critical situations
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to prioritize patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Implement triage protocols according to ENA standards
- Educate patients on appropriate healthcare resources and next steps
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
- Experience with Epic EHR system
- BSN degree preferred
