Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient transfers and admissions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Provide telehealth triage services for remote patients using advanced telemedicine platforms
- Train and mentor new nursing staff on triage protocols and emergency procedures
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for patient flow optimization
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky with at least 2 years of emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficient in Epic EHR and telemedicine triage systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency environments
- BSN preferred or equivalent experience
