Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols and ESI scoring
- Provide initial patient evaluation and determine appropriate care priority
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Document clinical observations accurately in Epic EHR system
- Communicate critical patient updates to care providers
- Maintain department throughput metrics and quality standards
- Provide patient education on emergency care procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- ESI Triage certification preferred
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Epic EHR experience required
