Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize acuity levels in emergency settings
- Utilize advanced medical equipment (EKG monitors, vital sign trackers, diagnostic tools)
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document clinical findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide clear communication to patients and families during critical situations
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in triage protocols and emergency equipment operation
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
