Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Patient Assessments: Utilize advanced clinical knowledge to evaluate incoming patient calls and messages to determine the urgency of their medical needs.
- Facilitate Appropriate Care Routing: Prioritize patient cases and direct them to the Emergency Room, Urgent Care, or primary care providers based on triage protocols.
- Provide Medical Guidance: Offer evidence-based medical advice, self-care instructions, and symptom management education to patients and their families.
- Document Clinical Interactions: Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) for all triage encounters to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Communicate critical patient information to physicians and nursing staff to ensure informed decision-making.
- Manage High-Volume Calls: Handle a high volume of inbound inquiries while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor and minimizing wait times.
Qualifications
- Active RN License: Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio (or willing to relocate).
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a triage or call center setting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical concepts to laypeople.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating electronic medical record (EMR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Critical Thinking: Strong ability to assess situations quickly and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
