Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency department arrivals using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop efficient treatment plans for diverse patient populations
- Administer initial interventions including medication administration, wound care, and diagnostic procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while documenting patient assessments and interventions
- Provide compassionate patient education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum 3 years of emergency department or critical care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong assessment skills with ability to make rapid clinical decisions
- Experience with electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
