Responsibilities
- Assess patient triage levels using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Provide clinical guidance to patients via phone and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients on care pathways and resource utilization
- Respond to medical emergencies with rapid intervention protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California RN license with minimum 2 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Experience with ESI 5-level triage methodology
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
