Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patients using standardized triage protocols to determine urgency of care
- Collaborate with physicians and emergency teams to prioritize critical cases
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems with precision
- Provide initial interventions and stabilize patients while awaiting provider assessment
- Communicate effectively with patients/families during stressful situations
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
