Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to determine appropriate patient disposition
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide clear, compassionate health education to patients and families
- Oversee patient flow and prioritize cases based on medical urgency
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness drills
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical guidelines and resource availability
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience with ER or urgent care background
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Ability to remain calm and efficient during high-pressure situations
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
