Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone, telehealth, and in-person triage using standardized protocols
- Prioritize patient cases based on medical urgency using EHR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Document patient encounters with precision in Epic EMR systems
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding home care or emergency referrals
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication abilities across diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
