Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments via phone and in-person to determine urgency of medical conditions.
- Make appropriate triage decisions, including referrals to Urgent Care, ER, or physician follow-up.
- Document patient interactions accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide patient education on symptom management and preventive health measures.
- Manage high-volume call queues efficiently while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a triage or acute care setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
