Responsibilities
- Assess patient urgency using triage protocols and clinical judgment
- Operate diagnostic equipment (BP monitors, ECG machines, pulse oximeters)
- Document patient encounters in EHR systems with precision
- Collaborate with physicians on critical care decisions
- Provide telehealth triage services when required
- Maintain inventory and calibration of assigned medical equipment
- Train new staff on triage protocols and equipment usage
Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency with EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Expertise in triage scales (ESI, CTAS)
- Ability to operate diagnostic equipment independently
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
