Responsibilities
- Perform Comprehensive Assessments: Utilize advanced clinical judgment to evaluate patient symptoms, prioritize care needs, and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Documentation: Accurately and timely document patient encounters, medical history, and triage outcomes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Physician Coordination: Effectively communicate with physicians and healthcare providers to facilitate prompt referrals and specialist consultations.
- Health Education: Provide clear, empathetic, and actionable health education to patients and their families to improve self-management and outcomes.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all hospital protocols, regulatory standards, and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and privacy.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a triage, emergency department, or urgent care setting.
- Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
- Skills: Proficient in EMR/EHR systems (EPIC, Cerner, etc.) and strong computer literacy.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on conflict resolution and patient empathy.
