Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Deliver accurate medical triage via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to prioritize patient flow and resource allocation
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precise documentation
- Provide compassionate patient education and discharge planning guidance
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and Alaska State nursing regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license with unrestricted status
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care setting
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Advanced proficiency in triage assessment and critical decision-making
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
- Flexibility to cover varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
