Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine urgency of care needs
- Utilize clinical judgment to prioritize patients based on acuity levels using established protocols
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients regarding care recommendations
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation according to regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
- Support patient education on symptoms, treatment options, and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in emergency, urgent care, or telehealth settings
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on coverage needs
