Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Make critical decisions regarding patient acuity levels and care priority
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in EMR systems
- Provide clear, compassionate patient education and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska
- Minimum 2 years of emergency or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with electronic health records (EMR) systems
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to cover varied shifts including evenings and weekends
