Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and telehealth patient assessments to determine urgency of care needs
- Triage patients based on clinical acuity using standardized protocols and established guidelines
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families regarding care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Document all interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Tennessee RN license (or compact state license)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in ER, urgent care, or telehealth
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
