Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine acuity levels
- Provide clinical guidance and triage recommendations based on established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient care coordination
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
- Educate patients and families on appropriate care pathways
- Monitor patient flow and optimize department efficiency
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems preferred
