Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive initial assessments of patients presenting to the facility, including history taking and symptom analysis.
- Utilize clinical decision-making frameworks to prioritize patient care based on acuity and urgency.
- Coordinate timely referrals to physicians, specialists, and ancillary services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ensure strict adherence to all hospital protocols, HIPAA regulations, and safety standards.
- Handle high-volume call volumes with composure and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in triage, emergency nursing, or urgent care.
- Strong critical thinking and sound judgment under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHR).
