Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person triage assessments to determine patient acuity levels.
- Interpret symptoms accurately to recommend appropriate next steps, including self-care or emergency services.
- Document all triage interactions and medical history in electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and care coordinators to facilitate treatment plans.
- Provide clear health education and referrals to community resources.
- Maintain a high level of patient satisfaction through empathetic communication.
Qualifications
- Current and active RN license in the state of Missouri.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care or triage nursing experience preferred.
- Certification in BLS and ACLS is required.
- Strong computer proficiency in EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle high call volumes.
