Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments via phone or in-person triage to determine acuity and appropriate level of care.
- Make appropriate disposition decisions, ensuring timely referrals to Urgent Care, Emergency Department, or physician appointments.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to optimize patient flow.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources and healthcare referral networks.
- Educate patients and families on self-care instructions and preventative health measures.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or Triage nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
