Responsibilities
- Perform rapid and comprehensive patient assessments to accurately determine acuity levels and triage needs.
- Implement and monitor established Triage protocols to ensure optimal patient flow and safety.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, diagnosis, and discharge instructions.
- Document patient interactions, vital signs, and clinical findings accurately and timely in the EMR system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate seamless care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room or Triage settings preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and time-management skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family interaction.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary.
