Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient assessments via phone and in-person to determine medical urgency
- Triage patients efficiently using standardized protocols and clinical judgment
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide clear patient education regarding treatment plans and next steps
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and hospital confidentiality policies
- Participate in continuous training and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license (or graduate of an accredited nursing program)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (training provided if needed)
- Strong communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practice
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
