Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using standardized triage protocols (ESI, Emergency Severity Index)
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate level of care and disposition
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide clear communication to patients/families regarding treatment plans
- Monitor patient flow and adjust bed assignments based on acuity
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota RN license (or compact license with MN endorsement)
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (or willingness to obtain during training)
- Proficiency in electronic health record documentation
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Bachelor's in Nursing preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
