Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine urgency and prioritize care
- Accurately document patient interactions using EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient flow and resource allocation
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and families during critical situations
- Implement triage protocols for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky (or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year ER or urgent care experience preferred
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with relevant experience considered)
- BLS/ACLS certification required (PALS preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
