Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid telephone assessments to determine patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases
- Utilize clinical judgment to provide appropriate medical advice and disposition recommendations
- Document patient interactions accurately in Epic EHR systems following HIPAA protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care coordinators for seamless patient transitions
- Monitor patient vitals and symptoms remotely to identify deteriorating conditions
- Educate patients on home care instructions and when to seek immediate medical attention
- Maintain calm demeanor during high-pressure emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (ER, Med-Surg, or ICU preferred)
- ACLS/BLS certification (will be provided during training if expired)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic training provided)
