Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize emergency cases using established triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and families regarding care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient flow
- Provide education to patients and staff on emergency procedures
- Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years ER/trauma experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication abilities in English/Spanish
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- BSN degree preferred
