Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments: Evaluate patient symptoms via phone and in-person to determine the urgency of care and appropriate next steps.
- Prioritize care based on acuity: Utilize triage protocols to categorize patients and facilitate timely access to medical services.
- Collaborate with clinical teams: Communicate effectively with physicians, specialists, and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient handoffs.
- Maintain accurate medical records: Document patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately and in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide patient education: Educate patients on self-care, treatment plans, and when to seek further medical attention.
- Manage high call volumes: Demonstrate exceptional time management and multitasking skills in a high-volume telehealth setting.
Qualifications
- Active RN License: Must hold a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida.
- Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required; TNCC or CEN preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or triage setting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to de-escalate sensitive situations.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical software.
- Problem-Solving: Strong clinical judgment and ability to make quick, accurate decisions under pressure.
