Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments via phone and in-person triage to determine the level of medical necessity.
- Make clinical decisions regarding patient referrals, appointments, and emergency interventions.
- Provide clear, empathetic patient education regarding symptoms, home care, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document all patient interactions and clinical findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Manage incoming calls and inquiries with a focus on reducing wait times and improving patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a triage or emergency room setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to utilize EMR/EHR systems proficiently.
