Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive telephone and telehealth triage assessments to evaluate patient symptoms.
- Deliver evidence-based medical advice and appropriate treatment plans to patients.
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists, primary care physicians, or emergency services as needed.
- Document all patient interactions, clinical decisions, and follow-up instructions accurately.
- Evaluate and prioritize urgent versus non-urgent cases to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and the wider care team to resolve complex patient issues.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and clinical protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered RN License in the State of California.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a triage or call center setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure during high-volume periods.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
