Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed phone and in-person triage assessments to determine the appropriate level of medical care.
- Analyze patient symptoms and medical history to prioritize care effectively and efficiently.
- Document all patient interactions and care instructions accurately in the EMR system.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to facilitate seamless patient handoffs.
- Provide clear, empathetic health education and instructions to patients and families.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining a professional, calm demeanor under pressure.
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in triage, Urgent Care, or Emergency Department settings.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and computer navigation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to think critically and make quick decisions in urgent situations.
