Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care using established triage protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters in electronic health records with precision
- Manage emergency situations and escalate critical cases appropriately
- Conduct patient education on health conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Triage certification or equivalent emergency department experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
