Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Manage patient flow and prioritize cases based on medical urgency
- Utilize Epic EHR systems to document assessments and coordinate care
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists for complex cases
- Provide clear communication to patients and families during critical moments
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital triage policies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Missouri (or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience (ER/urgent care preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or obtainable during training)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Proficient with electronic health records (Epic experience a plus)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
