Responsibilities
- Perform activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and accurately document patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging them in meaningful activities.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding patients with special dietary requirements.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to update and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Kentucky State CNA License (Active and in good standing) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or home health is preferred.
- Strong understanding of infection control, safety protocols, and patient rights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
