Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and on time.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfer procedures, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavioral status to the registered nurse (RN) or charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities, intake, and output in electronic health records (EHR) precisely.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Texas.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient lifting.
