Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Take accurate dental radiographs and ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed
- Manage patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and maintain digital patient records
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and order dental supplies
- Monitor patient vitals and administer local anesthesia under supervision
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) and dental software (Eaglesoft/Dentrix)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage patient anxiety
- Nevada state radiology permit
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
