Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Manage patient records and schedule appointments efficiently
- Provide post-procedure instructions and patient education
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Perform administrative tasks including billing and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Accredited dental assisting program certification
- Current DANB certification or eligibility
- Colorado radiography license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
- Strong interpersonal skills with attention to patient comfort
