Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures, including instrument transfer and suction control
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft and DentalSync software
- Provide post-op instructions and ensure patient comfort
- Coordinate scheduling and handle insurance verification
- Maintain strict OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and infection control
- Excellent communication skills for patient education
- CPR certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft/DentalSync software preferred
- Valid Maryland state radiology permit
