Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
- Document patient care plans, daily progress, and any changes in condition into electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and physicians regarding patient needs and emergencies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients to ensure infection control standards are met.
Qualifications
- Valid and active CNA license in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility or hospital setting is preferred but not always required for top candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
