Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Maintain Hygiene: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, sanitary, and organized to prevent infection.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, charts, and medical history logs as required by facility policy.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status changes and needs to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Safety & Comfort: Implement safety protocols to prevent falls and accidents while ensuring patient comfort at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, valid state licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Minnesota.
- Experience: Prior experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required for immediate hires.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently throughout the shift.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and clarity.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
