Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care to patients in our long-term care and rehabilitation unit.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, operating wheelchairs, stretchers, and transport chairs.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Ensure patient rooms are clean, safe, and orderly at all times.
- Follow all facility policies and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Tennessee.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or nursing setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
