Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with the utmost dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients safely to prevent bedsores and ensure patient comfort.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered State of Missouri CNA license.
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility, hospital, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical personnel.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- CPR certification is required.
- Must be able to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
