Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, height, weight, and temperature measurements accurately.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians during procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and urinalysis.
- Manage patient records and electronic health records (EHR) with strict confidentiality.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and greet visitors in a professional manner.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies.
- Provide education to patients regarding medications and post-care instructions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness to obtain Medical Assistant certification within 6 months (training provided).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
