Job Overview:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the medications they need safely and efficiently. You will work closely with our Pharmacists to prepare and dispense prescription medications, manage inventory, and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Verify and prepare prescriptions for dispensing, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
- Assist pharmacists with the dispensing process and medication counseling.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving shipments and maintaining stock levels.
- Process insurance claims and handle patient billing inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Answer phone inquiries and assist customers with medication questions.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent certification (PTCB/ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
